Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and GotYou LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By visiting got-you.io or using the Got You app, you accept them — if you do not agree, please do not use Got You.
How Got You collects, shares and deletes information is described in the
Got You is not a medical or emergency service
Got You coordinates practical help among people who already know each other — meals, rides, check-ins, encouragement. It does not provide medical care, professional caregiving, counseling or emergency services of any kind.
In an emergency, call your local emergency number — 911 in the United States. Never rely on a care plan or anything else on Got You when someone's safety is at risk.
Nothing members post, plan or share on Got You is professional advice.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and the information you give us must be accurate and kept current.
You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Whatever happens under your credentials is your responsibility, so keep them to yourself.
Your content
What you post — care plans, encouragements, notes, your Love Profile — belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to host, store and display it, only as needed to run Got You for you and your groups.
Much of what people write here is about someone else. Care plans and encouragements you write about another member must be truthful and respectful, and organizing care for someone always follows the app's consent flow, described in the
Acceptable use
Got You runs on the trust inside a group, so a few things are never allowed:
- Harassment or abuse of any member, in the app or through it.
- Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting who you are or who you speak for.
- Unlawful content, or using Got You for anything unlawful.
- Scraping the service or reaching it with automated tools.
- Probing, scanning or trying to get around security or access controls.
- Commercial solicitation of group members — a group is not a lead list.
- Interfering with the service or with anyone else's use of it.
- Objectionable content — sexual, hateful, violent or otherwise offensive material.
Reporting and blocking
Got You has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any message or encouragement and block any member. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and remove the accounts of people who post it.
Groups and organizers
Every group is run by its own admins and facilitators — the members who manage the roster and keep care plans moving. They are members like you, not our staff.
Joining a group shares your display name, your avatar and your Love Profile with that group, so the people caring for each other know who is in the room. The
The people who sign up to help are volunteers acting on their own. They are not our agents, employees or contractors.
Waitlist and communications
Joining the waitlist consents to email about Got You — launch news and occasional product updates. We send text messages only if you separately opt in to SMS updates.
To come off the waitlist, email hello@got-you.io and a person will remove you.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app — Settings, then Delete account. Deletion is a 30-day process: it is scheduled ahead, you can cancel it during that window, and when the window closes your data is removed as the
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.
Care a group has already lived keeps its shape: content woven into group history, including the frozen name-and-avatar snapshots on past care, remains with the group as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Got You is provided "as is" and "as available".
Got You coordinates help; it does not provide it. We make no warranty that help will arrive, arrive on time, or be suitable for the need — whether a slot gets claimed, and what happens after, is up to the people in your group.
We do not guarantee that the service will be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GotYou LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including anything arising from what members do or fail to do for each other.
To the same extent, our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you have paid us to use Got You, if any.
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Got You grows. The "Last updated" date above tells you which version governs, and continuing to use Got You after a change means you accept it. If a change is material, we will announce it before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any dispute arising out of them or out of Got You will be brought in the courts located in Texas.
